righto, i've changed me speakers and hd but it's still lacking that something i've got 100 squid left, been looking at getting one of these http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3463.html

are they any good and how do i wire it in? i have a kenwood hd with no rca pre outs but it says it can use line inputs ,from the speakers i presume ,the question is will i have to lose a speaker coz the wires are used for the sub

your thoughts please

There was a thread running on these a while back as I looked into getting one for my pick up.

You dont have to loose a channel, just tap into it. Its not perfect but neither in using a line input anyway.

looks ok but i would prefer to go with a brand like alpine

think you might be right there !!! hey lummox how would i connet up the alpine unit sorry to sound thick i'm a bit new to all this tecno gadgetry, just want to make sure i can do it before i buy it ,the way i see it is i splice into 1 positve and one negative wire from one of my rear speakers then connect to the terminals on the sub unit or do i need to do this with both sets of wires

Just one should work, the unit will be a mono unit anyhow so just needs a signal.
