This is probably my first post so i'll say hi! i've been lurking for a while

I currently drive a Fabia 1.4 mpi classic but i'm going to be getting a new car on friday. I managed to find a nice Octavia 2.0 tdi elegance with about 10k on the clock for a good price.

What's going to suprise me? I drive a diesel van at work so i'm not totally new to diesels, but i've never driven a tdi before, any tips on changing driving habits?

Also, what am i going to be grinning from ear to ear about? just like that.

They are very different cars for sure. The 1.4MPI isn't the most powerful engine around, nor economical, so the 2.0PD will be a massive improvement if you do longer journeys in particular.

Octavia is great for long journeys, loads more boot space etc.
