jabba arb and mintex pads fitted today

Featured Replies

:) :) :) :)

had the jabba arb and mintex pads fitted this morning by star performance and great service and advice, same as when I had the beast remapped last year.

had a lovely drive instantly as the car did indeed feel much much tighter than before and having had a brisk drive tonight the car feels miles better in every sense, wish Id done these mods at same time as remap!!

just as exiting now as my old mk1 octavia vrs which I thought handled brilliantly!

many thanks to everyone for all the great advice in buying these bits and bobs for the mighty fabaru and I will definately not be buying a mk2 octavia vrs anytime soon as I was sooooo close last month!

cheers

dave.

Enjoy! :drivesaf:

Are you running the Mintex pads on the 288mm setup, on std discs?

Steve

Be interested to know how you get on with the mintex pads. Are the the Xtreme ones? If they are any good they represent excellent value.

standard discs.

not sure if the mintex are extreme pads but I can tell you what part number and Im sure this will confirm which ones they are. the guys at star performance know what theyre up to so I wasnt fussed!!

The pads were 65 quid plus 30 to fit and the bar also was only 30 quid to fit. like I said it is an awsome difference and I was so close to getting a 312 mm set up!

Ive spent 335quid including the bar delivered from jabba and after my drives today every penny was very well spent as I treat my car quite firmly from time to time!!

hope that is useful,

dave p

Interesting - sounds like a good half-way house between std and 312 setups.

Steve

Hmmm.

Mintex pads and cross drilled 312's it is then
