FAB RS lowering springs

Featured Replies

will lowering springs on a fab rs improve the body roll? They had a dramatic affect on my octy rs. Plus there always seems to be a huge gap from tyre to arch!...Any comments please

cheers

kit

Lowering srings will reduce body roll but the best way is to fit the Jabbasport rear anti roll bar. That has a dramatic effect on reducing roll on the car and is well worth the money:thumbup:

is it a big job to fit an anti roll bar?.....would i be best off getting the garage to do it for me?....am not that mechanically minded!!:(.....will it have any affect on warranty issues?

kit:)

rear ARB is quite easy to fit , there was guide on here but i think the pics went missing , TomVRS did the guide iirc

a garage would probably charge you about 0.5-1.0 hours labour which is all it takes to fit

are there any warranty issues as its for a new motor?

k:)

It counts as a modification so yes - it may void warranty on the suspension for example. However as it is not modifying the engine power etc, more of the dealerships are likely to accept it I suppose.

Bit if they want to get funny I think it stipulates any unapproved modification voids the vehicle warranty.

Indeed - and you probably ought to go for the 'if you mod it, expect to loose warranty' - angle, if you get better then great :)

It does help to have a good relationship with your dealer
