A friend of mine has said to me that his 206 HDI 90 will accelarate from 40mph to 100mph quicker tham my Fabia tdi 100 estate. I think he is wrong and have put

I bet that makes for a thrilling race ;)

Don't worry. It's French so it'll probably break down.

I don't think it weighs a lot though.... He may beat you and then tell how delighted he is Garlic

90 bhp - absolutely, incontrovertibly no chance

You'll be stopped, waitng, on your 3rd cuppa etc (ala Klaxon)

It's over 100 kgs lighter than the Fabia...

If the winner wins by more than a cars length, I'll be suprised...

Guess it must be Easter, time off etc

Hiya

Nonetheless, 100kg as against 40 bhp more

I think you mean 10bhp more, I bet the drag on the fabia is higher too!

Order yourself a tuning box from MrHoot and you'll have it in the bag ;) Otherwise, I'm afraid to say you may end up giving away your £10 as your car is quite a bit heavier with only 10bhp more power!

Chris

Yeah, a tuning box would do it. :D

But even without I think your money may be safe.

The Fabia Estate 1.9Tdi is actually lighter than the Fabia VRS so there's only 60kg difference between your car and the Peugeot and you should have a 10bhp advantage and hopefully more torque !

With a nearly empty tank, the spare wheel out and all extra weight ditched I'd have a tenner on that ! :D

Yes,

90bhp Pug

100bhp Fabia

Looks like 10 bhp difference to me

Either way I thought we had moved on from this type of 'my car is faster that his' type threads..lol

Yeah, but it's quiet in here & I'm stuck at work & bored !

Midlife crisis or what!?

Worrying about whether or not your shopping/dog carrier will beat your friends rather effeminate hatch. But hey, if it gets you through the day then I'm delighted for you.

Either way I thought we had moved on from this type of 'my car is faster that his' type threads..lol

I really wish we would, they only end in tears. I feel ashamed :D

Mine would toast him  but then it's got another 100 bhp :P

In all honesty I prefer to enjoy my car, sure I compare it a bit occasionally but that's about it :D

What u must do is keep ur foot down while changing gears hope your clutch dont die.. hehe..

At the end of the day... its not how big your engine or how fast your car goes.. its about how much balls you got on the road and if you treasure your life really.. i.e. drive like a loony and you'll always be in front.. but you might just make a mistake and die thats all..

but you might just make a mistake and die thats all..

Well it is Easter after all, so he may be resurrected.....
