Hallo to everyone, I joined yesterday

I would appreciate it if anyone could help me with info about how to remove the factory radio from a 1997 Felicia estate. I'm unable to fit a new radio. Is a special tool involved?

Thanks.

hello there. welcome to the party

i'm sure the rest of the gang will be along soon to say hi.

as for you radio, what type is it???

if its a grundig, then you should have two u shaped prongs in your manuel pack some were. they are used to pull the radio out.

My stereo was a Blaupunkt one and i went to my local car supplies shop and bought the removal tools (U shapes prongs as just described) for a couple of quid and out she came. Was a doddle to fit, all the wires just clipped straight onto my £40 "aldi special" mp3 radio/cd player.... lol

thanks everyone. greatly appreciated. I will try what you said.

Alternatively - you might like to try my approach (not using the u shaped prongs) get a slim screwdriver, and push it down each of the holes whilst pulling on the headunit! I didn't have the U shaped prongs when I changed my stereo, but managed to remove it fine.
