110 TDi ECU problems?

I'm looking to buy an Octavia Elegance 110 TDi [haven't found one yet] and I have seen quite a few references to an ECU fault, the most detailed being

I can't find the 'BM' ECU listed in the parts list (ETKA) for the Octavia. VAG-COM will read the ECU part number for you and of course a dealer can do this too.

I asked a dealer today and they wern't aware of this, so perhaps HJ was generalising a little and this unit hasn't found it's way into Skoda's parts bin.
