I needed to take off my personal number plate off my car at some point and convert car back to its original reg. number? Could I keep it off for a few years and then have it put on another car in the future? How much would this cost???:(

Quickest its taken me is 4 weeks for the transfer to go through, when returning the plates to the original ones and getting the V5 back.

So is all this the same if the following happens:

I trade furby in for new car

Transfer P*3MBO to new car

Furby goes onto its original plate

New car goes to P*3MBO

?

Just that I was told that the old plate doesnt need retaining, it is / or a substitude is held automatically for you so that when the private plate is transfered (

With a trade you can transfere it over.

No you dont need to retain the old plate, just hpe no one buys it, then you get it back. But there is nothing stopping you retaining it.

Aye, wouldnt be too fused about getting the same old one back, any will do. Only reason that I would want the same one is that the windows are all etched with it but it doesnt really matter tbh
