Octavia woes

Featured Replies

Well my wifes 1.6LX is booked in to get the accident damage fixed next week, but now the vRS is giving trouble. The clutch keeps sticking. I though it was catching on the mat, removed it, but did not help. Then tried the carpet, still no luck. I have to pull the clutch back up with my foot, especially on these icy mornings. Guess it is time for another trip to the dealer :( .

seen this on here before but I have had no problems and it was -6 here last week..I park under cover through and off the main street so it may more sheltered

Its the clutch master cylinder... it did the same in my Leon Cupra....

Did'nt think it affected Octavia's...

I gather Denis had this on his 4x4. As Daz said, it's either the master or slave cylinder. Warranty job.

or it can just need bleeding.. VW dealers are not good at this... but you need to reverse bleed it to get it properly.. we had this when fitting my uprated clutch...

well if Leons are affected as well I assume Golfs get it too..is it a VAG wide thing like the old coil packs

I still can't belive this is still happening, it should be a clutch master cylinder ( a slave aswell if your lucky), we've had so many people come in on the back of an AA truck its unbelievable!!!

Definate warranty job, your dealer should have some parts in stock, have a word and they should be able to get it sorted for you.

Then again I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure thats what it is.
