Can Maxidot show cruise control speed?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it can??? Got a Passat hire car for a few days, and although it doesn't have maxidot, the computer shows when cruise control is activated and the current speed.

Anyone know if this can be enabled (or where to find it if it's already there)?

Not seen it myself.

CC has a light on the later cars.

I notice that cut out for the light is there on the dashpod of ealier cars and the new dashpod that was fitted has the same.

Can thsi light be enabled does anyone know?

The CC light works om my 07MY car. IIRC it is an amber light.

Nothing of this description on my 2006 Golf which has got what Skoda term Maxidot, however it does have a speed warning jobby which 'pings' and states 'maximum speed exceeded' on the maxidot screen when you go over the max mph you have set it at..... is this what you mean

When driving SWMBO'S i just pretend. :D

My cruise in the 2003 Passat has a light that illuminates when its on, but no speed readout on the dash. :(

Not quite. The Passat's got the dashboard LED which lights amber, to show the cruise control's switched on (whether it's active or not). The matrix display in the centre of the binnacle which shows mpg etc., shows that cruise is active with the same cruise icon as the LED, and your current speed (which obviously tops out at your set cruise speed).

When you deactive cruise by tapping the brakes, or whatever, the LED stays on, but the display in the middle goes back to whatever it was displaying before.

Thought it was strange that a (I assume) non-maxidot dash had this...

My Octy's got the cruise LED, but it goes on and off when it's activated and deactivated, but no speed indication on the maxidot...

It's a nice feature - can it be enabled?

My light is green. The light comes on to say cruise is switched on, i.e. ready to go, not necessarily set at a specific speed mine.

Hm. Might be green - been quite sunny around here :)

Does the central display show when the cruise is active, and what speed you're going at??

Nope, not at all. Would be awesome if it did though!

Mine just has an amber light on the dash to show if it's on. That's sufficient for me as my speedo shows me my speed!:D
