How do you get this off:mad: ,ive removed the two screws on the r/h side after intake and disconnected obvious things i could see.No amount of brute force will make it budge in fact me and mate grabbed a corner apiece and front of car was lifting.:eek:

This is doing my head in am i missing some secret fixing the krauts have hidden or is just im thick:O

It is very tight to get off. I normally put a squirt of silicone spray on the 4 rubbers before putting it back.

Just be careful not to crack the cover as I did! On the left hand side make sure you pull directly where the cover attaches, (it held on by 4 pegs), Try disconecting one side of the cover at a time and pull hard!!! Suggest you start with the right hand side.

Well just an update,me bro came down to help and after much swearing and red faces managed to get the damn thing off.Did crack it on left side though seems to be weak spot there,but slotted back on a treat with a bit of silicon spray. Top tip there from Stu,nice one:thumbup:

Looking good now with the Carbonio filter kit i purchased off Fluffmeister,cheers mate great bit of kit and arrived in a1 condition:thumbup:

Wonder how many get broken by the VW/Skoda/Audi/Seat mechanics when taking them off come service time ????

The problem is they obviously put them on 'dry' when built in the factory, now mines got some silicone on there it slips on and off no problems

The silicon does tend to dry out a little so I normally like to reapply it each time the cover is off.
