Help with Fabia Warranty - New Owner

Featured Replies

I have today bought a Fabia from a non-Skoda dealer. Car registered Dec 06. Says comes with 3year warranty. I have an application form completed by the previous owner - Fabia Free Service with Skoda/Auto Finance. The previous owner has signed it. The dealer tells me the car is covered by the warranty "not the owner" so to just send this to Skoda telling them that I am now the new owner. I also have a card "Warranty Transfer or Change of Address" enclosed, which obviously I can complete. At the bottom it says Vendor's Name and Town with a box for "Authoried by: for Skoda". This part is not complete. Please put my mind at rest and tell me this car is covered as the dealer was a bit vague! Thanks

just send the warranty transfer form back to Skoda and you will be OK , your car will have warranty until Dec 09

Assuming that this was an original UK supplied vehicle then, yes the car will have a 3 year warranty (from Dec 06 when first registered) and also 3 year breakdown cover.

Phew !!! Thank you so much, very relieved now. Well, it is Friday 13th and I thought it may have been my unlucky day! Pouring myself out a stiff drink now and I shall relax. thanks again.

3 years or 60,000 miles (in year 3).

2 years unlimited mileage, then the 3rd year is upto 60000 miles.

2 years by Skoda, then 3rd up to 60k provided by Skoda UK- what i was told.

Don't forget the AA cover - valid for same time -if you're a member, ring them up and get your membership suspended till that on the car runs out -
