60k Service...Cam belt not done??

Featured Replies

Bought my 53 vrs in November and was serviced by previous owner at 59k, no cam belt changed, had the car serviced today at 68k and the Skoda garage said looks ok? thought it may have been changed before... The service without the cam belt change came to

My car (was an '05) needed the cambelt service at 80k, and it was a £500 quote from the dealer.... (I believe the '53 plates need to be done at 60k though...)

My advice is GET IT DONE at any cost! My Fabia's in for a snapped cam belt at only 54000miles (granted, it's 6 yrs old). Gonna cost around 1400 to fix, and that's a 1.4 16 valve on the cheap!!!! Not good news!

my wifes A3 1.9 tdi, same engine as the Fabia cost me

Local diesel specialist did mine (1,4 TdI) for

Had my 1.9 Tdi done at 50K - £179.42 + vat at a main Skoda dealer. Consider having the water pump replaced at the same time.
