2007 'classic' - how can I unlock all doors with 1 turn of key?

Featured Replies

Just got a new 2007 Octavia 'classic' (company car).

I've not got remote locking, just a normal, old fashioned key :)

It really bugs me that it wont unlock all the doors with 1 key turn, and I have to keep turning to unlock the boot etc.

Is there anyway to stop this happening, so that when I unlock the car, everything unlocks first time?

Also, if I wanted a remote key, is it just the key that I need? Are all the electronic gubbins in the car already there?

Cheers :)

I've also taken recent delivery of an Octavia 'classic' company car and have the same problem (see my previous thread).

The car was at the dealers yesterday cos the build list shows the car has a courtesy module that just needs programming. Sadly its not possible. Spoke to Skoda UK today with regard to the various parts required and although they recognise the part numbers as genuine factory parts, they say the parts are not available in the UK (BKA 609 003, BKA 609 001, BKA 609 002- thanks to VRStu for initially supplying these numbers) If you google the part numbers you'll find several Croatian sites that list them.

I'm now waiting for replys froma couple of alarm installers to see if anything is possible, the problem is because Skoda use the new 'canbus' electronic protocol and aftermarket development is very limited.

Sorry for rambling on but it gets very complicated.

If I get a result I'll let you know and I'd appreciate it if you do likewise.

GOOD LUCK
