04 Fabia VRS Whats it Worth?

Featured Replies

Any idea what sort of money my Fabia VRS would be worth?

Its a Black Magic 04 plate VRS with just turned 37,000 miles on the clock

It was a demonstator and me as first owner, but due to being a demonstrator had a CD changer and cruise control fitted from new.

Its still under warrenty till end of June this year and had just had a service and two new tyres fitted.

General condition of car is excellent and its a well cared for car.

Although its not 100% going up for sale im trying to get a feel for what its worth as I'v been offered my dads car at a very sensible price (same as dealer has offered him part Ex) which im tempted with if i can get a good price for mine.

I usually use WiseBuyer's Guides to give me some idea wot a car's worth.

your's came up around £7300

I'd probably try it up on 'Trader/Pistonheads at 7750-8000.

Did you have a value in mind of what you thought you'd get, or need?

Was hoping it would be nearer the 8,000-8,500 mark.

I appriciate its possibly a little up on the mileage for its age but was hoping the addition of the CD changer and cruise control would help add to its price but these are things which arnt taken into account when you look at the parkers website, unless you pay for a valuation.

As for what I need for it, its not really a matter of that, I'm still not totally sure about selling it as its been the most fun car iv ever had. If someone was to offer me the sort of figures i mentioned above then I would probably seriously consider selling it.

Throw an ad on Pistonheads and see what happens - it doesn't cost, so what have you got to loose.

And if you support this site by upgrading to Freedom, you can post a proper ad in the 'cars for sale' section

i have been offered £7k for my 40k miles silver VRS from a couple of dealers , was offered a bit more at another ,£7.4k ,

its now done nearly 44k miles and i wouldn't expect to get anywhere near 7k now

If any of you read last weeks AutoExpress it as with all weeks has a feature on second hand cars and this week was the city car it lists all makes & models up to 5 years old giving prices. From memory the oldest vRS was £5500 - I'll check tonight to get the price for an 04.

These prices were like in Glasses guide well cut out of it - so its got one price for each reg and ave milage for each reg so if yours is more then its worth less.

(muhaha.. a vRS will soon be mine.. Just waiting for or come across one thats around £6k..) Ahem, yeah I been searching a little and around 7.5k is about right if you look on autotrader, it also depends on where abouts you live...
