Curse of the 'Silver Octy'

Featured Replies

What with Shifty, Harry and now the latest thread by Cheezmonkai are Silver Octy's cursed or is it just a coincidence?.

Mine seems fine now Steve

Obviously this must be proof that Silver paint causes severe damage to cars and should be banned under a government backed scheme. Initially increased taxes on anything with silver paint should be applied.

Nothing wrong with sliver Fabias.

Silver is I believe the best stealth colour, Ive done 4 cannonballs & the Furball in Silver cars & never got a ticket yet

And that is IMHO a sad truth* :(

Well except for the Air Con clutch design issue.

Actually I think this thread needs a sequel "Curse of the Silver Octy II"

Sensible and wise words, thats why both of mine are silver ;)

Everyone else around here has a section 59 or two.

As for my Octy 2, what a waste of ££££ that was.

You're gonna regret asking that ;)

Now I'm really interested.

I've had mine for seven months, no issues at all

Must be 'very' lucky !?

maybe I'll leave it alone and not get it 'tinkered' with.

You mean your door carriers don't leak and your DMF is still fine and you don't have a de-laminating front windscreen or creaks from the front door seals?

I think there is a Octy II common problems thread somewhere around the new octy section

Unfortunately they all seem to afflict your car! :(

I have a silver octy II and apart from the keys playing up, so far, I have not had any issues either.
