Update to the pod beeping

Dont know who will remember my dash pod beeping and flashing...well for the last 3 weeks its only done it twice and only 1 beep when it happened....i just wonder cos we have had warm weather and maybe dried summat out, no damp in the air.

I am currently looking to change if i find the correct priced car....looking at A3 1.9TDI or a Passat or Golf, thing is i do 90 miles a day to work n back so need a motorway car, thing is all these cars are expensive even for older ones........any ideas what would make a good motorway car thats reasonable priced.
