Exhaust Gaskets

Featured Replies

Right gents and Milltek owners,

Where can i get the gaskets that are needed from? As the system im getting is secondhand im going to need some.

Id guess that i can get the one the goes from the turbo from the dealers/GSF but what about the rest of the system? Are just a standard size that someone like GSF will have in stock?

I got mine from the dealer, will post part no up later.

Are you going to fit it yourself?

No ill not be fitting it myself as the car is due its MOT so ill get the garage to fit it while they have it on the ramp

If im lucky they will fit the TIP and skin their knuckles :D

Maybe you have the answer already.... the only gasket you will need is the turbo to cat downpipe, no other gaskets are used as the exhaust sleaves on so to speak

HTH

Phil

Gasket for turbo/downpipe is 1J0253115R

The miltek I had on my old mk1 vRS was fitted from the turbo back and was fitted with NO gasket between the turbo and the cat. The company that fitted it said it wasnt required, they applied some high temp grease to the joint and bolted it on. The joint never leaked in the 3 years after it was fitted. I did buy the gasket above from the dealer but never used it.
