Audi RS 4 based Skoda?

Featured Replies

Does anyone think Skoda intends on building a vehicle based on the Audi RS 4??? I think they should. Thoughts?

I suppose they could base the next Superb on the new A4 shell, but they'll never be allowed to devalue the Audi brand by competing in the RS4 segment. I assume you really meant the RS4 and not just the A4?

Also, you say "Canadian Skoda's Just Do It Better" - do you mean "Canadian Skodas Just Do It Better" or is it a clever pun to deride Skodas bought in the Canadian market?

If by based on you mean using a 4.2 V8 and priced at circa

I think that Skoda intends to have monkeys flying about on little zero gravity skateboards like in Back to the Future 3. But that's just my thoughts.

vRS Superb with the Audi 3.0 V6 turbo TDI engine, 233bhp - now there's a thought; and pretty do-able from an engineering/parts bin point of view.

BTW has anyone seen that Renault are now doing a RenaultSport Megane dCi 175bhp for c.

Just noticed the fact that pittVRS has a 6 MPS. Did you have a vrs and get the Mazda. just curious because with me it was a toss up between the two. Was well impressed with it on the Mazda Renesis event in Edinburgh last year

The new Superb is based on the 3C Passat/ Octavia 2 floorpan so no big V8's etc.

Biggest you will get is the 3.2 litre narrow angle V6.

Ah, you've found a dealer who's slinging some of that new super-crack.

To hijack this thread even further, I too went to the Renesis event in Edinburgh last year which is where I first saw the MPS. (and sat in when they were doing J turns) It was fantastic! I had a 51 plate Octy vRS then decided to buy a 3 year old Audi S4 (slightly back on topic) then changed my mind after a test drive int Mazda.

I think Skoda should make a small inexpensive city car sub Fabia level. And also a full size utility style 4x4 with a comfortable interior. Somewhere between a VW Touareg and a Landy Defender.

I think there is a better chance of a 'Limited Edition' sometime in the future along the lines of perhaps a White WRC version like on the MkI with a 240bhp variant of the TFSI.

R36 engined Superb might be good.

i though i saw a passat that had an 2.7 twin turbo audi engine somewhere?? can't remember who did it tho?? or was that the old passat??

That was a 3B Passat built by the now gone TSR.

Toyota Auris, with a 2.2 d4d putting out 177 DIN bhp.

Sounds good to me.

Not really; max power is at ONLY 3,500rpm; must have a really narrow power band.

No. My grammer is just bad. I am better at speaking Azorean Derelict Portugese!:)

And it is all in good fun. A Canadian Skoda is the same as the rest around the world. Just over here they are all LHD!
