Renault Scenic 1.6 RXE

Featured Replies

Got this yesterday for the wife and kids to run about in.

One local owner, FSH 93k miles, Full MOT, 6 months tax, cam belt, oil change

Interior looks nice and fresh for a car that's 6/7 years old and had covered 93k

The reason the blower is not blowing is because the pollen filter is grafted.

took it out for now and the blowers are blowing much better. Getting a new one ASAP.

The car is really very tidy inside and out.

I feel like i have got a bit of a bargain but we shall see.:)

Em, I just heard from a mate, who's parents had a Scenic. It was punted up the back at an estimated 30mph (speed of other car on impact), and the passenger seat broke under the stress!

Oh no perhaps i should take this one back then:P

TBH it was older than yours, but IMO that is one of those things that should never happen (I quite like Renaults to drive, but think they're poorly engineered, weak sheds!).

There are plenty of people on here who have had plenty of problems with their skodas too. I am no francophile but i have owned several french cars over the years and none of them were particularly bad. In fact the N reg AX i had was just about the most reliable car i have ever owned.

Also the Scenic seems to get similar NCAP results to the Octavia.

Hopefully i will never need to test these figures out in either vehicle.

I quite like PSA cars; it's just Renaults that I find unconvincing in actual on-road driving (me) and crashing (observed).
