60,000km service

Featured Replies

I want to be 100% sure before I start looking for someone to service my car here in NZ.

From what I can find from a search, the 60,000km (40,000mile ish) service entails:

Oil and filter

Air filter

Pollen filter

Fuel Filter

Plugs (any recommendadtions on type?)

Brake fluid (not been done for nearly two years)

Other servicey checks like gearbox oil levels etc. :)

Anything else?

Hi Rob

That sounds about right ;)

Gearbox IIRC does not have a service life

Plugs , you will need Platinum ones

Sarah

No but i'd probably change the gear oil for VW specified oil at that mileage for long life as I am guessing skoda parts are hard to get in NZ.

75w-90 IIRC and about 2 litres but somebody will be able to confirm that for a 1.8T

Depending on who you believe etc, either replace or check wear on cambelt I think.

Ref the gear oil, it's 75W90EP synthetic.
