Had a look at Furby Mk2

Featured Replies

(Added testdrive further down....)

Hi guys...

Was at the dealeres this morning getting a "box". ;)

While waiting i had a look at cars, also had a look in the Skoda department, and what catched my eye....a Black Furby Mk2.

It has premiere here in DK in mid May, so was quite surprised.

I like the interior, but when you look at the car from the side, it looks way to high or not long enough for its hight - you pick.

The boot isn`t much bigger than the Mk1, so that was quite dissapointing.

All in all, i don`t think the Mk2 will be my next car. I like the front of the car - not the rest. But lets see if it grows on me.

Just my 2 cents......any qeustions?

I hope it will be available with a sports suspension option to take a little bit out of the height, I think the boot is 40 litres bigger than the old one and about the biggest in the supermini class so for the size of car I think it's pretty good.

Is that picture from a Skoda dealer, if so whats the red cabriolet in the background, not a Fab Cab is it!!!

There might be a clue on the big grey post sticking out of the Fabia's roof ;)

Looks like a Micra to me...

Not keen on the Furby Mk2, looks too much like the Suzuki Swift for my liking!

Hehe, as others said, the Cab. is a Nissan Micra. ;)

I can take some more pics tomorrow if you guys want?

The ride height looks rediculous

The ride height of a current Fabia is pretty high, wouldnt say there is much in it.

But remember its only a very small amount of the population that are worried about such things. Most just require a car that easily goes over speed humps, it nice and easy to get in and out of and load shopping into and is comforatble on the road.

Old fabia is sky high too:

The new one looks higher due to the body shape IMO

Perhaps the black one hasn't had it's PDI and still has its suspension blocks on?

:iagree:

But its still going to look high just like the old one. :(

its brand new! prob not done any miles. the suspention will give a little and look better after a few hundred miles. all new cars look like they have really high suspention if you look closly

Has your back shocker cover gone?

The picture doesn't do it justice I'm afraid. The rear looks great imho and the interior is nice. It drives well too.

As i was laid off recently i have quite a lot of time atm, so took a little trip to my local dealer.

Had a testdrive in a 1.9 TDI 105BHP.

It`s a nice car, but nothing special compared to the "old" Fabia.

The car handles better in corners, but apart from that, nothing that really floats my boat.

I`m a little dissapointed, but ok, what could you expect?

And that rear end.... :thumbdwn:

I took some pictures, will upload them later.

With its increased height, I would not have expected that. Are you comparing with the equivalent model Fabia Mk1?

It is higher, but it feels as if the suspension is a little stiffer, so it doesn`t roll so much in the corners. I have a Fabia Mk1 Combi 1.9TDI to compare with.

But as a car as a whole, i think it is a very good car, and i will recommend it to others when looking for a new car. I don`t really like the design, but that might just be my taste.

If i should recommend a new car to someone in this class, i would say Fabia Mk2 and Kia Ceed.
