Hi,

Just had the "fix" applied to my car for the stutter (it's a 56 plate). Apparently a new gasket fitted and increased idle revs.

It has NOT fixed the stutter experienced at around the 1,800rpm mark.

I hear it can be fixed by fitting a specific gasket or pipe and perhaps having an aftermarket ECU map applied such as Revo.

Is there a definitive fix offered by tuners to alleviate this "emmisions" issue by fitting a specific valve/gasket/map ?

Firstly do you know where they fitted the new gasket? Was it under the EGR valve or between two pipes to the right of the engine?

I myself are confused as to where it should be fitted. A Skoda dealer I contacted said its under the EGR valve. Many on hear say its between the two pipes.

The gasket that solves the stutter and is a happy medium for the emissions is the 14.5mm hole. The one that sorts the stutter is the 9mm one but the emissions are too high for Euro IV compliance.

Apparently turning the EGR valve down using VAG Com helps a lot and some tuners are able to lessen the effect of it.

I've certainly not heard of a specific tuner offering a fix.
