Been thinking about doing this myself, but suppose the central locking fuse blows and the doors are deadlocked, how do you open the door?

I had this done by my dealer after someone drilled the lock out of the octy.

Metal plate and then a blanking cover painted up in race blue and the cost including parts, paint, labour was

The doors will be dead locked and you wont be able to access the fuse box down the drivers side of the dashboard.......

Just locked myself in the car with deadlocks on, turned on ignition and the deadlocks release.

Dont you use the key if you need to program the remote fob? I seem to remember having to unlock the car with the key and then press a button on the remote to program it:eek:

From what I can remeber when i got my new 3 buttom remote..... yeah.

I've recently realised my car has been de-locked at some point in it's life! How slow am I at not realising!

The silver paint on the plastic lock cap is looking a bit tired compared to the rest of the car. So can I order a new one from Skoda? Would a passenger side one fit?

Or is this a special part that comes with the kit only? I'm only after a silver blanking cap.

I'm assuming they just pop on and off.

The caps come in primer anyway, so you might as well just re-paint yours.

If you need to replace it then yes, they're the same on both sides.

I did mine the other day using VRSPhil's guide, took minutes!!

I got the cap sprayed when the wing was tidied up... Not the best pic in the world as it was dark and taken with my phone.
