Road Angel Classic problem

evening all,

my road angel classic having done nearly 2.5 years sterling work has now decided to stop picking up satellites. all I get is the --- screen. on the sat screen it requires 5 bur receives 0. (5-0).

I unplugeed it the whole of last week cos I was only bimbling about base (first time unplugged in a long time) and plugged in on saturday with no signal after 2.5 hours driving.

Each night after work i have unplugged it and replugged it and left it overnight to get a fix but no joy. I have no instructions with me, is there an easy fix or is it a shiny new RA compact next week for niallyp?

the blackspot website suggests a new antenna. its worked for the last 15 months on the furby, ill be damned if the windscreen is now blocking the signal and i need a new antenna!

any help on this gratefully appreciated
