Rear wiper on tavia combi

Featured Replies

My old man has a question re the rear wash wipe on his combi L&K.

He finds that the wiper kind of misses a bit at the top and wondered if that was due to the curved glass.

I wouldn't have thought the boys in Prague would not notice such a blatent design fault, but considering the hatch has the neat rear speaker wash facility, I thought I'd ask.

Having said that, when had a quick look at it yesterday, it looked like the metallic bit of the wiper was broken: it seems to rotate a lot more than it should. Now considering the car's only a month or two old, is that a warranty item? I would hope so - I don't consider a knackered wiper blade normal wear and tear after only a couple of months and 3000 miles :(

Get it fixed under warranty.

warranty! mine is on its original rear wiper after 60k!! ...and does not miss the top.

Mine's ok as well, but front discs replaced under warranty

Mine doesn't miss the top bit but I did swap the original one for the one off the back of my brother's Scooby estate/hatchback/5 door or whatever they call it. :D

When I bought my car, the rubber on the original front wipers had gone hard and did not clean the screen effectively - dealer replaced them no questions asked when I mentioned it.

Well, it's been sorted out.

Turns out the arm was in fact bent (not the wiper blade itself), so the mechanic at the dealer just used a little elbow grease and "encouraged" it to return to it's normal position. Now it's fine :)

If only the problem in mine was so obvious :(
