Celtic Tuning Remap Booked in!

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

The final stage of my 'tinkering' has now been booked in - A Celtic Tuning Remap.

It's not until the 15th but it's a case of watch this space!

All the best

Ooooo Dear... :(

How much power are they quoting?

  • Author

Quoting 190 with the intake etc but I'm expecting more like 170-180 to be honest. I've looked up quite a few threads and from what I can tell everyone seems very happy with them.

Will see how it goes........

Hmmm.... You've missed the thread where they've blown two turbos.....

Want to buy my old turbo? ;)

The graph on their site seems to peak early and drops off well early too. It looks a bit harsh...

We will talk about this tomorrow ;)

I currently have a celtic tuning remap an am very happy with it, it took quite a while for the full map to adjust but its a little pocket rocket now. I have had a Superchip map on my last vrs and that was prety much the same power as the Celtic tuning map....the figure Celtic quote are at the flywheel , so you will not get a true 195brake ...moe like 170 bhp and 270 torques...I find the power is constant all the way to 4500-5000 revs also. You will enjoy the map, just give it time and dont expect all the power as soon as its done, prob take a week to settle in...

Had 2 maps off Celtic, and neither have caused problems.... If I drove my car like I stole it all the time then maybe I would have Turbo's going 'pop', but I imagine that would be the same in any care mapped or not mapped.

As for quoted bhp etc.... who gives a toss, the car drives 10x better and if I want to put my foot down it goes like stink all the way to the red line.
