Something to do with vacuum/breather system?

Help.

Please identify for me the plastic black box thingy that sits over the type of No.4 clyinder on the AUQ engine. I recall ages back some posting, linking to a SCR thread about removing these. IIRC the jury was out as to whether this was a good idea. I have tried a search, but as I can't remember what it's called its a bit tricky.

The real question is does this box have to be over the top of the cam cover (e.g. for heat), or can I relocate it elsewhere to tidy this bit of the engine up some what? Given all breather pipes etc originating around this area of the engine, I want to get it looking a bit neater.
