OK - so I probably had a bit too much time on my hands but I did a quick colour survey from the http://www.briskoda.net/forums/new-octavia/whos-got-mkii-vrs/50815/ thread.

Results as follows:

59 Race Blue

37 Black Magic

12 Diamond Silver

8 Corrida Red

3 Candy White

So, to confirm what we probably already knew, Race Blue is by far the most popular colour closely followed by Black Magic.

I sometimes wish I'd broken with my tradition of always having black cars and gone for Race Blue instead, but then that would have been a bit common wouldn't it?

According to my dealer Race Blue outsells all other colours combined for the vRS by 3 to 1. Apparantly there are only 8 Sprint Yellow ones in the country!!.

Gone for race blue myself.

One of those sprint yellow cars is sitting in the Loders showroom in Yeovil. It's been there for more than a year, and isn't showing any signs of selling.

It doesn't look too bad, but wouldn't be my taste.

The stats from the quoted thread (up to 110 vRS owners) are these;-

Black - 34

Blue - 54

Silver - 11

Red - 7

Yellow - 1

Total - 110

Engine preference - TFSI - 87 (inc. those not specified)

- TDI - 23

TFSI to TDI ratio (no. 49 onward) 41:23 - 56% TDI

I should know I have been keeping the tally going. I presume Jonno that you have counted in the 111 to 119 declarations - but where did the 1 sprint yellow get to?

From this tally what I find interesting is the 56% being TDI (since they came out Autumn last year).

I have a yellow one and wouldn't swap it for the world!!!

Well done; I initially wanted yellow but didn't have the bottle for it.

Got RED though which is nearly as exclusive and, most importantly, meets with approval from SWMBO.
