I have coded FOB key myself after this manual. I can start the engine, lock and unlock doors (not the boot however), but yellow icon (car and the key) keeps blinking even though engine runs. In the Skoda manual it says that this happens only if false key has been used and the engine can not be started.

Any idea what might be happening? Thanks

You could try running through the coding sequence again.

I've done that twice. Is there any wa to reset the key? I've red somewhere that sequence is different for each new key, as how many times button should be pressed, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the coding? More info here.

Is there any difference between keys. I've got a 3 button flip key, but I know there is also Skoda 2 button flip key, so I'm not sure if the one I have doesn't really "fit" the car.

Are you using the method from the above website? If so then it's not entirely the right method and may be the cause of your problems.

Well, I've tried both, and in neither of them I can hear the horn. Regardless what path I take to code the key, the result is the same, I can start the car, I can use remote to lock/unlock the doors, can't open boot though, but the yellow warning ligt keeps blinking. That's why I was thinking maybe the key itself is not the right one...
