I am attempting to use ElsaWin which of course needs engine and gearbox codes. I have been told that my engine code (1997 1.3 MPI Felicia Estate) is likely to be 136M and sure enough that's what is stamped on the block. However, ElsaWin wants a three letter code, which lines up with those on the Etka list reproduced by VRStu elsewhere within these forums (thank you).

I have seen on other forums a reference to a sticker under the boot carpet which will reveal all - trouble is I haven't got one! (A sticker that is - I do have a large boot)

So I am totally confused and hoping someone out there with the same model will have the answer and will also be able to tell me where to find the gearbox code - the ETKA list has four different ones that seem to align with my model. I assume this is also a three letter code.

Any suggestions most welcome.

If you have the service book there's a copy of the boot sticker in there.

i think the 3 letter codes only apply to vw engines..

a 1.3 felicia will have a skoda engine

If that's the case, the 136M suggestion is correct and I can't use ElsaWin cos it wants three letter codes - oh joy! :(
