Anyone know if VW Bora Roof Bars will fit an Octavia Mk1 or Mk2? They have same fitment but dont know the width of the roof. They will fit a Mk4 Golf if that helps

FYI - the Thule aero bars are 120cm long - they are wide enough for both the Bora and Octy II.

127 cm for the Octy II according to Thule.

If it fits a MK IV Golf then I would take a guess that they would also fit a MK I Octavia, but not the MK II.

Correct, however the 120cm aero bars do fit the estate with roof rails.

Didn't realise we were talking estates, sorry. It's because i've been sorting out a pair for my Octy hatchback.

If you have Thule bars, then whoever buys them will also need the correct foot-pack / clamps / adaptors.

The above are specific to each car, so your bars may fit cars other than Octy.

(Assuming of course that you have Thule bars in the first place... )

They are VAG bars for a Bora/Golf Mk4. NOT Thule

As I said I would guess at bora/golf MK IV, octavia MKI and possibly the last leon too.

I would think the only ways to find out are to try them or to get a part number for the bora ones and then a part number for the other cars versions. If they match, jobs a goodun.

I appreciate this post was originally 11yrs ago but that is kind of point of the search option.

 

Did anyone find a definitive answer for this? From memory of my Seat Leon they have  the same style of mounts at the Octavia and both are built on Mk4 Golfs so . . . 

 

Also should this be moved to Mk1 Octavia section?
