New Head Unit :)

Featured Replies

Had a nice trip down to Ilford today to see Andy_ccr and the Car Audio Centre showroom. Dead easy to find too - the shop's big and slap bang on the A12 with a nice clear sign so you can't miss it!

Although I already had in mind the head unit I fancied, Andy gave me a good run through of his stock (lots...) and even produced coffees

Went for the Sony CDX-F7500 (see piccies), which now installed looks the business, and sounds wicked too - the dedicated sub-out and corresponding headunit control has really made things sound a lot better than the aged Kenwood unit I previously had in the fabia... Now to start burning some MP3 CDs to use in it...

Big thanks to Andy - good advice, good price and excellent service... I know where I'll be going for future ICE purchases... :D

very bling, mate! :speaker: :speaker:

Personally I don't like the idea of the big screen on the HU but it looks the dog's danglies on that one! ( almost sat-nav like... )

Looks a lot better than many recent Sonys , and the separate sub controls will come in very handy.

How much was it?

Also has a removable face, unlike some of the earlier sonys... :)

Liked it because of the combination of the display and the aluminium look...

Very nice HU there Steve.

Andy's place is a great place for anything ICE orientated and I shall be going back there in the future if I need anything to do with sounds.

CDX-F7500 retail is meant to be somewhere around

Andy - what can you do for me in the line of Fabia component door speakers? ;)

I've been looking online at Cerwin Vega stuff which you can get dirt cheap from the USA compared to over here...
