Help Plz With Power steering

Featured Replies

I have a 1.9 Sdi octavia, I have a power steering leak, but can not find the exact source of the leak. Any ideas if the rack has seals or if it has to be a pipe or something that has the leak??

Could be leaking into the rack if the fluid isn't coming out anywhere.

There have been a few discussions on this recently, but i can't remember where, so a search of the site might help.

Hopefully somebody who knows or remember will be along soon enough.

Welcome to brisky :)

most likely place is the rack, where the track rrods come out...

normally you just bin them when they start leaking because once they start you can never stop them

I can't see any leaks from any of the pipes so i'm goign to look in the cv boots. If it is the rack, :thumbdwn:

Anyone know of a cheap place to get a new rack?

Need to get it sorted asap.
