Hi all

New to site and to Skoda, taking delivery of an Octavia diesel automatic (May 04) 26000 miles - know 44mpg overall claimed, wondered if any one in real world can let me know what to really expect. Thanks in advance.

44mpg from the auto!? I have difficulty getting the manual version under 50mpg!

Thanks all - yeah I know it depends how you drive them! let you know how I do nearer 50 would be great - my current A Class Mercedes 1.4 auto does 38 around town and 47 on open road - happy to beat that!

My 110bhp tdi with a manual gearbox used to average about 54mpg so 44 for the auto is realistic

2500 miles at 45mpg overall - but best cruise control set at 80mph (76 on sat nav)

52mpg I am very pleased!

Hi, I brought a 2012 Skoda Fabia in May 2026 and the air circulation button (i think) when you press it or turn on aircon which automatically turn on it makes an awful banging noise Has anyone had this issue and know what the solution is (other than leaving off) Also the passenger electric window will open on passenger switch but close only on driver (is that common?) cheers

Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help

After dropping a wodge on the Outback for a new battery only for the tailgate issues to immediately recur and funnily enough for a internet search to suddenly (wasn't before) flag that there is a persistent and long standing Subaru issue with a parasitic battery drain via the telematics module. Basically the car continually tries to phone home and drains the battery, the tailgate control module is acutely sensitive to voltage meaning that if the car has sat for more than a day (sometime less) th

Hi! I'm in need of some help please. My Octavia estate sat for 8 months unused. The battery went flat (AGM Varta) and doesn't charge. I got the car started with a different battery and then swapped in the dead battery to see if it would start charging. BUT, now the engine was running I needed to move the car a bit and found that the gear stick won't go into reverse gear. It can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th but not reverse. I've ordered up a new AGM battery (due in a couple of days) but this reverse

I got just the new software version 1989. Curious what's it is gonna bring. Already satisfied with 1985 but i love gadgets and up to date materials. One thing from the beginning with software 1969 til now mine park to pay or pay to park still not working. But i am not using that anyway to prices of parking are ridiculous. So i hope this one is even better then 1985 we will see.
