Citrix - Microsoft Access issues

Featured Replies

Hi,

does anyone around here have sufficient knowledge of citrix to help me with a problem?

Currently running an access database over citrix. All machines access it fine with the exception of 2. When loading forms which have a query behind them using Functions (abs, count etc.) it throws a wobbly and will not run those queries.

Running it locally to that machine is fine, but not good long term due to WAN speeds.

can anyone help?

thanks

Which version of Access? I had a problem with (and this is going back a bit now :D) Access 97 with NT4TSE.

we use citrix to log in to the work network from home, i just proxy in to my work desktop and kick any db's off that way so dont touch access in citrix, then log out and wait for a text to say its done

Its access 2002 installed on the CX farm here. Unfortunately we have regional guys who need to access it also, otherwise i'd tell everyone to run it fat client.

Is the db being copied out to a home drive (typically mapped as U: on client PC, but will be a directory on the Citrix server) or just shared centrally?

It works on some PCs citrix clients and not others ? Do you use the same account on each pc when testing the citrix app ? Could be a rights/profile issue.
