Just ordered

Featured Replies

Ordered a new Octavia on Friday. VRS TDi Race Blue c/w free 18"alloys and jumbo pack, extras are cruise and maxidot

Dealer reckoned he could get one in two to three weeks but phoned me on Monday saying unfortunately I'd have to wait till 1st August. Have decided to wait until 1st Sept to get new 57plate.

The dealer had initially said he could only offer me the deal if I went for delivery asap, but having spoke to him on monday he was willing to honour the deal for 1st Sept delivery

You've been very lucky to get the deal. It was only for cars registered before the end of this month. Make sure you have a firm price becuase as far as I know he will have to pay full price to Skoda unless they have revised their terms this week.

Knowing how many are in the UK and juding by the wait I would also say you will be getting a factory order which will be a 2008 spec car.

Well done congratsTime will now go very slowly. Ordered my L&K 2.0tdi DSG on 24th May. One was found and delivered today at the dealers. However due to a lot oforders at the dealers I have to wait until next weekend to get it a right pain.Never mind it will be worth waiting for.

The deal has been extended (on the quiet) as long as the car is ordered by 30th June SUK will honour the freebies, the car MUST be registered by 30th September.

I am still awaiting news on the 5.1% APR and 3-years FREE servicing deal - dealer will know by 25th June if it is to continue.

RE: MY2008 - apparently week 22 (which was last week) is the new MY2008 - not sure if that's related to production or order take date?

My vRS starts production next week (week 24) - hopefully I will get a MY2008 aswell :bowdown1: :

Short Antenna (roof)

Cornering fog lights (Scout and vRS)

Updated column stalks (Cruise, indicators, wipers etc)

dealer had said to me originally that the car had to be ordered by end of June to get the free upgrade. I think he was pushing me to hit his targets and get some cars through before 57 plate

He is right that it MUST be ordered (with deposit) by 30th June - however, it may be delivered any time up to 30th September (ie will be valid for "57" plate - if you can wait).

This pressumes it is a factory order - if it is a stock car the 30th June rule still applies AFAIK.

I can't see a dealer holding onto a stock car for 90+ days  and SUK are only extending deal from a common sense point of view (it is not your fault the car's lead time takes up to 12 weeks to queue/build/deliver)
