Hi guys,

I've looked through other threads for this info - but I can't see anything! I bought a central locking kit for my fabia, but the instructions are a bit lame (see below)

Question is: Where should I put the receiver unit? Should it go in the door? Or under the dash by the steering wheel? I mean it looks quite simple really, just a few cables. Also it says Red 12v, can I wire this into the ignition or would it need a pure supply directly from the car battery? Finally, where's the best place to access these cables?

Hi there,

I put one of these in our old Fabia a few years back. But, it wasn't a remote kit it was the non-remote version. However, I do remember that I placed the control unit the dash to the right of the steering wheel. I am sure there was supposed to be a place to attach it, but I couldn't do it so taped it in position (and it was perfect from that point on).
