I sold my (used once one) to Quinten - perhaps he would like to comment as I used be old-fashioned ! (Chamois)

I use one to get the bulk of the water off and then chamois down the rest.

Me too, but I use a microfibre towel rather than a chamois

 By far the quickest way to remove the bulk of the water, although you do still need to tidy up with a chamois leather...mines an Auto Glym product costing around

Likewise use Autoglym's blade plus their artificial leather. :)

I have just discovered the miracles of microfibre cloths. They really are excellent for removing ALL the water droplets from a cars surface.

I use a squeegee , yes the same one I use to clean the shower cubicle , then an old 100% cotton T Shirt  ..............go on try it , very absorbent and I find better and quicker than a chamois .

I use the hydrablade to remove most of the water and then, the old trusty microfiber towels to dry.

A good tip i picked up which nearly negates the use of the blade, is to take the nozzle off the hose pipe so the water just runs out, and then let this water run down the car, starting at the top and working your way down, make sure it doesnt splash up, this will dry 75% of the car believe it or not!

assuming your car has some polish on it that is

I blast mine up the bypass after rinsing, gets rid of 99 % of water. The come back quick chamois and polish if required.

Plus get the water off the brakes and stops em rusting up.

Yup, still using it. Major benefits is that you get the roof, bonnet and sides quickly dry. But as its quite tough you cant get it easily round curves so using old tea-towels to dry the rest of the car.

only thing with these is you have to ensure they are clean at the edge of the blade, last thing you want is a small amount of grit or something scratching the paint work.

used to use one on the 19 but just use a synthetic chamois on the octy
