Parrot CK3100

Featured Replies

Hi there....

I fitted some amplifiers this weekend to my Octavia RS Mk1 and now my CK3100 doesn't work. I have purposefully left the rear speakers powered by the Headunit so that car kit should work but to no avail! It used to pump sound through all speakers but now it does nothing....if anyone has any bright ideas I would be very grateful.

Finally, I have struggled to find a remote wire for my Amplifiers and thus have had to fit a switch, if anyone with an Octy Rs knows of a good one please let me know.

Thanks in advance

What headunit have you got buddy?

IIRC the parrot kits will only play sound thro the front channel speakers ie the 4 middle wires on the iso block. try connecting your rear speakers to the front channels. also the parrot kit will not cut music to your amped speakers when someone rings you as it has no way of killing the amps in a call.

one of the wires that comes out of the headunit will go live when the radio is on, its usually blue. if failing that the best wire to use is the ingnition switchable wire which runs to the headunit.

Yup, IIRC the wiring from the Parrot is only for the fronts which is why you're not hearing anything anymore. If you can swap fronts to rear on the speaker output of the head unit or parrot, you' should get telephone conversation coming out the back.

However, there is a connection to the ISO block for Telephone. This will mute the head unit, whether it's driving speakers directly or through an amp - at least that's how my ageing CK3000 works.
