4x4 rear diff haldex or torsen ??

Featured Replies

I have just had my mk 1 (facelift) 4x4 octavia estate (52 plate) serviced and i asked for the oil and filter to be serviced in the rear diff believing that it has a haldex diff.

Only for the garage to telll me it has a torsen diff as it is has a longer wheel base, than a golf etc .

Does any one know if this is true or not ?

does my car have a haldex or a torsen diff?

Cheers

It's Haldex. I'd give that garage a miss in future.

Yep haldex & changing the oil is part of the 4x4 service schedule, I think its at 40 or 50,000 but not sure without checking

I think it's actually oil every 20k then oil and filter every 40k. Can't remember as I go for oil and filter every 20k anyway.

That's spot on, Eddy. :)
