instrument cluster coding O2 rs TDI

Featured Replies

Hi,

Does anybody knows the last value of the distance impuls number for an O2 RS TDI alu wheels 17".

Seems that the value of this cluster not noted before modification.

We don't have an RS TDi of that age in the UK so I'm guessing it's a 1.9PD engine in which case I think it would be -

3599

Octavia II (1Z) clusters get their speed signal from the ABS. All 1Z's (at least I saw) are coded to 1 which seems to represent a distance impulse number of 22084 which fits a wheel circumference of 1947.

Thank you,

Does anybody knows how to use VAG CAN COMMANDER to change the value?

Where did you get that from? Paid less than $200 for it?

Yes, founded on ebay

The original manufacturer doesn't sell these on ebay, he also doesn't sell them for that price. I assume you are able to draw your own conclusion from that. ;)

The OP said his RS was an 02 hence why I thought he was talking 1U and not 1Z. Although as I said I've never heard of a 1U TDi vRS.

Something doesn't add up.

to theresias,

I should have been dissapointed if I paid over 200 € for the original one which have, in my opinion, a software that is not made to be understandable an too difficult to use. I'de rather buy a ross tech for the same price that is easier to use and with a user interface that is more interresting. I think that abritus should change of software developpers.
