boost? intermittent problem.

Featured Replies

Hey guys ive noticed my octy has developed a strange intermittent problem, i will try to explain what is happening:

Under acceleration it randomly feels like the boost is low and doesnt pull as hard as normal,(quite a noticable diffenerce) then its fine again, its really bugging me, i have scanned the engine module with vag-com and it hasn't thrown any fault codes. im lost on what to do now. would the MAF cause this ? or would that not affect boost ? the car is going into the garage on tuesday to have throttle bodies cleaned/reset (lumpy idle) and aircon debugged, il also tell them about the problem.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreaciated. cheers.

update :

took the bailey DV 30 out and it has ceased open lol =/ been on the car less than a week. im going to regrease it and try it again, its going back if its no good !

Update again : took the DV 30 apart re-oiled it, quick run around the block and it ceased in the open position again, it seems to be getting very hot, is this normal ? ive put the standard unit back on now and all seems fine again.
