VRS 30000 service

Featured Replies

Just had my 30000 service. As the car is nearly 2 years old I had a brake fluid change done too.

The cost

Was it an annual service, or just a lube service?

Chris

That's just a 10k jobby....oil and filter, quick check round the car and of course you had a brake fluid change done. I'd say that was about average.

The 40k one will be more. A fair bit more. :D

Didn't know there was a Skoda dealer in Pickering. Will have to have a nosy next time we're passing through (got family there and in Scarborough where I'm from so we're over a fair bit :))

Chapmans are dealers for quite a few makes. Skoda, Subaru, Proton, Fiat.

Looking at the reciept it seems its only fluid and checks plus the brake fluid.

Wierd thing is, at the last service the oil cost

Bit like the one in York then, selling more than one brand.

Every time I go in there I can't help but ogle the lovely sexy Protons.

Ooooh those things are hot........especially the Savvy. LMFAO.

If it was the lube then technically you still ned the inspection when it does reach two years old.

I dont understand:confused:

I have had 3 services. do you mean it needs an additional one?

You need an annual service (that includes an inspection). If you do 10k a year, you just get a 10k service (and they'll do the inspection in that). If you do 20k a year, you only need one inspection so at your 10k service you can just have a lube (aka oil change) service and defer the inspection service until 20k.....

:) Ok Thanks.

Think I am fine as its all been done apart from the brake fluid which I said not to do at the 20000 service (car only 14 months old).

Just tied it in with the 30000 and car is 3 years old next month.

I dont do the miles I did in the first year so will be yearly now.
