Dealer communication

Featured Replies

I signed on the dotted line for a more or less fully loaded vRS TDI hatch over a month ago and I have heard diddly squat since then. Is it normal to hear f**k all from anyone or am I right to feel a little bit peeved?

Some of your recent experiences with dealers during the ordering process would be interesting to read.

Cheers :)

Not surprised. My dealer didn't utter a single word to me, right up until about a week before delivery. Even then, I had to chase them via my lease company.

Bagpuss.

It's been like getting blood out of a stone to get a build week and ETA on the car.

It's not much to ask is it?

And no one has got back to me about the status of the freebies, I have ordered the jumbo/2Zone/18" alloys just in case but not a word about whether I'll be paying for them or not.

In a very similar position to yours just now, but glad to say my dealer could advise within ten days of ordering the status on whether the freebies were included or not (the delay was because the salesman and the guy at Skoda to needed to authorise it were on holidays).

Once they confirmed that they gave an approximate build date - they could only estimate it, it seems the exact build date isn't something they readily have available. The said at that time they wouldn't be in touch again until they had further news.

They've now been in touch to say the car is built :) and will 'hopefully' be with me in the next 2-3 weeks, again they won't be back in touch until they have further news.

I've been happy with the amount of contact, not too little and not too much  (Newmarket Garage, Stirling btw). Would press them to get in touch with Skoda HQ about the freebies - its something you really need to know at an early stage.

Cheers for that, I will be in touch with them on Monday.

When i ordered mine vRS i kindly asked the dealer to contact me as soon as they hear anything about my car. So far they have been very helpful and i have received five e-mails from them. Right now I'm keeping my fingeres crossed so that i can collect my car this week.
