i seem to have a squeaky drivers chair and rattling coming from the off-side but cant tell if its coming from the air vent or door. the rattling is rather inconsistent. anyone else had same problems or know how to resolve them. the rattling in particular is really starting to hack me off now

I've just had the frame changed on my octy by the dealer because it was squeaky. Not much help as they didn't specify what was wrong with the frame though.

Yeah squeaky seat base is a common problem. If you're inside warranty period, it'll be changed FOC

thought bout warranty but it says used warranty doesnt cover seats in booklet

Might be worth trying to claim (as it is a known problem), otherwise I'm sure Lummox or Stu can price up a replacement seat base for you

I have same issue with the seat. It's the seat base although I have a noise from the base plus I accelerate it groans then. i'm only 11st not a weight issue.

also I have a rattle too from offiside and can't tell where it's coming from. arounf 1700rpm it does it. sounded like golvebox at first but it's not, I have had passengers trying to see where it's coming from but no joy.

A trip to the dealers I think, anohter new seat base I reckon plus i'm sure they are better equipped to knoew where the rattle is coming from, they may have even seen it before.

I had my seat base replaced under warranty with no questions, it was really hacking me off, what a joy after it had been replaced...bliss (still have a rattley door trim though, the dealer needs 4 hours to strip it dowm, thats getting done at next service)

problem is mine ran out of warranty on tuesday!!!

took my furby to jewson skoda in oxford today and they said that used car warranty doesnt cover seats, squeaking or rattling :(

i could get it booked in but for them to look at the seat would cost

Try some WD40 on the seat, spray underneath and into the gaps, this worked on mine!
