Millotec rear bumper trim - Octy1 vRS

Featured Replies

I've just bought a millotec rear bumper trim (carbon effect strip which goes on the the bottom edge of the rear bumper). Does anyone know how these are secured in place? I'm just wondering if I need to buy some glue or if it's self adhesive/clipped.

Thanks :)

Speaking to Lee(boy), I think it uses some glue goey stuff. Best PM him for some advice

If they're anything like the bumper vents they'll proabably come with glue to attach them.

I have one, pretty sure it came with the glue.

Eddy, are there any up to date pics of your car?

Just wondering :D

The pic in the link below is probably the most recent I have. It was taken a year ago at a meet and not even by me :o , since then the brakes have changed and the centre caps are now genuine carbon fibre ones. I have standard rear lights and a vRS spoiler to be fitted. I really should get round to taking some decent pictures and posting them up.

That it .. i've been lookin for this !

how much doe that cost ya phil ?

Yep mine came with glue, but it took three attempts to get it to stick!

When you've pressed it on masking tape it up and if you can use some sash clamps or similar to help hold it in place to get the glue to bond.

I ran a bead of silicone sealer around the outside of mine when it had dried too.
