where is the bloody fuse box????

Featured Replies

when i bought my car it didnt come with a blasted hand book, so when i accidentily caught a wire while changing my stereo today and blew a fuse i cant find the bloody fuses anywhere. looked in what seemed to be all the obvious places but no luck, please somebody, tell me where they are

On the Fabia it's a removable panel on the drivers side end of the dashboard. You can only see it when the door's open.

Hopefully it's the same on your Octavia.

which one is for the stereo?? does it have a little plan on the lid??

No Bengie, there is a plan in the handbook, but beware cos it's a mirror image - I think it was designed for LHD vehicles. Look at the shape of the panel and compare with the pic and you will see what I mean.

If you still have no handbook (and I seem to remember something of the sort) let me know and I will rev up my old scanner and scan it for you.

I'm sure there's a plan on the lid. I don't think there's one in the manual.

:-)

In the Fabia handbook I have there is a table tying the miniscule (hey, I have bad eyesight ;)) numbers next to each fuse in the fuse holders to a description....

Chris

Bengie - did you find it yet? It's number 42 - third from bottom in the vertical row furthest from the hinges - next to the reserve slots.

I have posted a diagram in the Gallery showing fuse location. This is it:

Whoops sorry Denis - did I miss a post somewhere.

Gonna write out the key too? :P
