Good car to learn in, but boy do they go with a bang when stalled :)

no bloody kidding, knocked my gearbox off it's mountings once :(

the GP sporting is better  (so say my pupils... lol....)

im currently learning to drive hopefully not long left now. they are a good car to learn in but when they stall they do it properly lol. once you get going its nice to drive though. lol i also like it cos im quite a big built guy and i fit nicely with the seat back a bit.

I teach in a vRS too  The bang soon teaches them better clutch control

Might be getting it remapped soon, so let's see how they like that

vRS as a driving school car? Must be mad:cool:

Not as mad as my initial idea of using the Scoob  I had visions of 17yo lads queueing around my house night and day :o

Works really well as a driving school car. Docile when off boost but not too dramatic when it is, and TBH they bottle it the first time they feel it surge forwards and never do it again, mostly. Enjoyable and rewarding for me to drive when I'm not teaching and more economical than a Prius. What more could you ask of a workhorse.

Been wondering what to replace it with when the current one is worn out. I have found it to be the ideal driving school car. A few of my pupils have developed enough skill to use it properly as well.

Hopefully the new vRS will be out by replacement time, but if not, there are a number of cars worth a look.

I'm considering a Leon PD170 Cupra next, but not for a year or two. My Furby only has 8k on it so I need to get my moneys worth :D
