EMIS Software - any knowledge pls?

Featured Replies

A job in a GP's surgery asks for experience of EMIS. I think it's a system for booking appointments and recording consultation notes. Does anyone know if it's user friendly, meaning easy to learn really, please? I'm wondering if lack of experience can be played down if a person is computer literate re various M/S software apps.

Many thanks for any comments.

EMIS was and may still be

unix based server software for patient mgmt and presscription production.

accessed via wyse green screen terminals..

suspect it now has a windows from end but that will depend on whether the tight **** doctors have spend the cash......

was a pig to use on a terminal but that could have been re written as 5+ yrs since i saw it...

(used to work for their biggest competitior....)

Thanks redbaron. In that case, it might be worth volunteering to go in to look at the system (unpaid) both to show willing and show that one is picking up the system. Just a thought. Luckily the person in mind is quick on the uptake :)

Thanks and regards
